Armadillo

Zihuatanejo | 2023

Zihuatanejo's landscape embraces a unique housing complex - "Armadillo." Inspired by the armadillo's protective shell, the design weaves walls of local brick and stone, creating a sense of privacy and flow. The textures and earthy tones whisper a rustic charm, further enhanced by paint mimicking the passage of time.

Nature becomes an architect itself here. Winding paths navigate the complex, seamlessly integrating residents with the surrounding jungle. Each apartment boasts private terraces, envisioned as personal canvases for lush gardens. This interplay between structure and surroundings allows the vibrant greenery to spill into every corner, blurring the lines between human and natural creation.
